Moving day is tough. There is already so much going on and you want to stay as organized as possible. But you also want to save money (who doesn't) - that means getting your hourly rate movers out of there as soon as possible.
Sometimes no help is more help
Most movers are likely to already have a system in place for packing, prepping furniture, and loading the truck. Although you may have only but the best intentions, constant help can become unwanted intervention and actually make the process longer.
So what should I do?
Direction and Organization is the best help you can give your movers. At the unload end, be sure to be present to let the movers know exactly where you would like each piece of furniture or box placed. Nothing wastes more time than having to move everything twice! Do your best to have your home organized and generally clean with the entrance and doorways clear of any items. try not have miscellaneous items scattered or not packed - moving time can be significantly cut down if these items are boxed up and ready to go. If all else fails and you're not sure if you're overstepping, just ask! our movers will be happy to guide you in the best actions for you to take, resulting in a successful and efficient move.
